Br. Bruce Davidson, C.Ss.R.
Br. Bruce Davidson entered the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer during August, 2006. He received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University/New Orleans, May, 1979, and he was employed by Northwest Airlines for nearly 25 years; working in Los Angeles, Tampa, and Detroit. He applied for admission to the Redemptorists through the Shrine of Bl. Francis Xavier Seelos which is located in New Orleans. Br. Bruce completed his theological studies at St. Louis University, St. Louis, and Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. He was awarded his Masters of Divinity, May, 2013.
He has ministered at the Shrine of Bl. Francis Seelos, Redemptorist parishes in Biloxi, MS, completed Clinical Pastoral Education work at Ochsner Hospital, New Orleans, and the Redemptorist Renewal Center retreat house in Tucson, AZ. He successfully completed training and received certification as a spiritual director at the Hesychia School of Spiritual Direction while serving at the Redemptorist Renewal Center. He currently serves as a member of the Redemptorist Evangelization Initiative at St. Alphonsus Parish, Brooklyn Center, MN. He has resided in nine states, New Orleans and the Seelos shrine is his home.
